How many times has it happened to you? You get excited about a new barbeque place you've heard about and then get lost trying to find it. Or, worse, you find a place you like but can't remember where it was. Help is here, thanks to Google Maps.

Hello!
I just found your site and am excited to find another person as passionate about BBQ as I am.
People today get GRILLING and BarBQue'n mixed up. Grilling is cooking over an open flame relatively quickly....like less than 20 minutes on one piece of meat. BarBQue'n is cooking over hickory coals at a lower temperature VERY SLOWLY, often HOURS.
My favorite BBQ is the universe has always been Vandy's in Statesboro, Ga.
My second favorite in the universe is Lew's BBQ in Twin City, Georgia.
My favorite in Atlanta is Williamson Brothers in Marietta.
Champ's BBQ in Marietta is great BBQ and the vegatables are really good as well.
The "Swallow in the Hollow" is also good in Roswell, Georgia.
I am not a big fan of Harold's BBQ, but it is better than a burger (of course).
I used to go to Fincher's BBQ in Macon, Georgia....but they might not be around any more.
I had Bobby and June's BBQ on 14th Steet at lunch today, but it was only average.
I am looking for plans to build a brick BBQ pit with a smoke stack for cooking meat very slowly. Know of any plans or an especially good pit that I could copy?

Might I suggest the Fox Brother's BBQ, newly transplanted to the corner of DeKalb and Moreland from the back room of Smith's Olde Bar.

Bubbas in Eureka Springs, AR is right up there for ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. Are there any bbq joints in the Pacific Northwest? We are off to Washington and Oregon and hate to be deprived!

This is a great site! I'll be coming to Atlanta at the end of July ( God knows why, but that's where my boss wants to meet, I'm from Philly and I guess my boss is from the sun!)
Anyway, I like your reviews. I also publish a blog about barbecue and mix in reviews from time to time. I just asked the question " Is it ok to mention the name of a BBQ Joint when you're doing a review"
I look forward to reading more!
Regards,
Bill Parlaman
